Football Far North Coast Representative Carnival
Once again we are hosting the FFNC Rep Carnival and we are looking for volunteers to come down on Sunday Morning to lend a hand in the canteen, field officials and putting up shades. Volunteers will need to be at the clubhouse around 9am. Kick off time is 10.30 and the last game Kick of is 12noon. It is a very profitable day for the club but also a very busy day so all hands on deck.
Our 2010 Calendar can be found on our website under the Calendar Tab.
The Canteen Roster for 2010 can also be found on our website under the Junior Tab.
Thank you to the Gr 6 Osprey Parents who volunteered in the canteen at our last home game. We appreciate your
time and efforts, I’m sure your children were very proud of you.
Maintaining a good relationship with your child’s coach is an important step toward their success.
Please let the coach do their job and if you have any concerns about their coaching you owe it to yourself and
your child to speak to the coach in private…and simply put – ask for what you want. Don’t attack, condemn
or undermine – just ask for what you want. A simple straight forward request is often refreshing and helpful to
all concerned. I love the fact that sports provide kids with the opportunity to learn all kinds of life lessons. They
learn how to train, compete, honour commitments, develop physical and mental stamina, how to communicate
with their teammates and coaches, and all kinds of things about teamwork. Let’s turn negatives into positives,
develop healthy “self-talk†on and off the field, and learn how to make the most from the experience. A win or
lose’, if everyone had fun, then the experience was a great one and likely to be repeated. Your coach gives up
their time to train you and to be at your Saturday games so don’t forget to thank your coach and always be
respectful.
Hugh Tynan the Junior Coach co-ordinator is for both a contact point for parents and coaches you can contact
