Welcome to the 2024 season of soccer!
The club would like to encourage all players to utilise ONLINE REGISTRATION for the 2024 season. Online registrations open from 1st February 2024 through the following link: PlayFootball.com.au
If you need assistance registering online please contact our Junior Registrar Lisa Coady on 0401 583 310 or registrar@ballinasoccer.com.au
The NSW Government’s Active Kids Program continues again this year, which gives parents/guardians of all eligible school enrolled children 4.5 to 18 years old, residing in NSW, the opportunity to apply for a voucher (up to $50) that can be used to reduce (or eliminate) the cost of their child’s playing registration. Apply for an Active Kids voucher here.
Vouchers will need to be entered in the PlayFootball website when registering online or provide the Voucher details to the Club if unable to enter online.
As always we are looking for volunteers to help Coach and Manage our Junior players. If you can help our club in any way please let our Junior Registrar Lisa know via her contact details above.

“For the 2018 season and beyond, the following participants are required to obtain a WWCC and provide their WWCC Number to their club, association, branch, centre or referee branch:
-
- All paid persons working with children under 18 years of age;
-
- All coaches, managers working in a paid or volunteer role with children under 18 years;
-
- All technical directors working in a paid or volunteer role with children under 18 years;
-
- All referees (except those under 18 years of age);
-
- All committee members of organisations with participants aged under 18 years of age;
-
- All Member Protection Information Officers; and
- Persons in any other child related roles not listed unless exempt. “
Ballina Soccer Club will comply with the advised changes to WWCC policy as directed by Football NSW to include the above amendments of who is required to have a working with children check.
The following are links to our Compliance Statement, Information for coaches and others requiring a WWCC on the process and the Ballina Soccer Club Working with Children Check Policy.
For updated information that answers some Q&A that coaches and other interested parties may have, see the following link from Football NSW: https://footballnsw.com.au/protection-and-safety/working-with-children/
IF YOU ARE COACHING, TEAM MANAGER, COMMITTEE MEMBER OR WILL REGULARLY VOLUNTEER ON WEEKENDS such as in the canteen etc IN 2024, you need to start the process of getting a Working With Children Check. If you only need the WWCC for soccer purposes, then there is no cost ($0 – it’s free) to have this check undertaken.
If you have any questions regarding the WWCC that cannot be answered by the above information, please contact our Child Protection Officer – Jodi Troughton on 0406 883 466
