It’s going to be a HUGE few days at Saunders Oval for the Ballina Soccer Club this weekend with plenty of junior and senior games and our annual Junior Carnival on Sunday.
Our Grade 14 girls and Grade 15 girls are first up at 6.30pm on Friday night against Uki and Italo Stars respectively and then our mighty 4th Division ladies are playing Uki at 7.45pm.
There’ll be some exciting junior games being played all Saturday morning and hopefully plenty of goals and smiling faces around the fields. The canteen will be a popular place with hot pies and chips for the kids and fresh coffees for the mums and dads.
The smell of Tiger Balm will be in the air when both our 4th and 5th Division Men back up for their 3rd game each for the week. 5th Division play Lismore Workers at 1pm and 4th Division Men play Woodburn at 3pm.
The match of the day is at 3.00pm with our Premier Men’s team taking on archrivals Tintenbar/East Ballina. With a win last week over Alstonville and some good early season form, the Seahorses will be keen for a victory in front of their home crowd.
Our 2nd annual Junior Carnival is scheduled for Sunday with 42 team entries including 2 teams coming from Stanthorpe . Volunteers are always welcome to come down and help the carnival run smoothly. Come down and cheer on the kids for a great day.
Just to make it an even busier weekend, our Grade 14 girls back up again playing on Sunday at 9.30am against Lismore Workers. They will be followed by the Grade 15 girls also backing up again at 11am and take on Mullumbimby.
There’ll be some more sore bodies about when our 4th Division Women’s team back up from their Friday night’s game when they meet Tintenbar/East Ballina at 12.30pm.
Finally, our 2nd Division Women’s side will battle it out with Tintenbar/East Ballina at 2.30pm.
Hopefully the recent beautiful weather will continue for some great soccer action to take place all weekend.
